ARTELLS MAGAZINE SUBMISSION FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about fashion editorial submissions, photography magazine submissions, publication options, image rights and the editorial process at Artells Magazine.

How do I submit photography to Artells Magazine?

Start on our submission page and choose one of the two official routes:

  1. Submit via Artells Media — the Artells submission form with free application and optional paid services.
  2. Submit via Kavyar — the Artells Magazine profile and currently open calls on Kavyar.

Artells Magazine does not accept or process payments on artellsmagazine.com. If you choose a paid option, the order and payment take place on Kavyar or Artells Media.

Who is the seller for a paid submission option?

The seller and payment channel shown on the order is the platform where you place it: Kavyar or Artells Media. Artells Magazine performs the accepted editorial and publication service, but artellsmagazine.com itself does not take payment. Keep the receipt, listing and platform messages because they identify the selected deliverables and govern payment and refund processing.

What photography categories do you accept?

We consider cohesive editorial series in fashion, beauty and hair, portrait, fine art and AI, fantasy, glamour, men, teen and kids, nature and travel, documentary, performing arts, city and architecture, sport, underwater, food and artistic nude. Browse published examples in Fashion, Beauty, Portrait, Fine Art, Kids, Men, Nature and the Webitorial archive.

Adult artistic-nude work may be considered only where it is lawful, consensual and supported by all required releases. Sexualised, nude, partially nude, sexually suggestive or sexually provocative material involving anyone under 18 is prohibited without exception.

What files and information should I prepare?

The current Artells website guideline is a cohesive series of 4–12 fully retouched JPG images in the sRGB colour profile. Recommended publication sizes are 2550 × 3300 px for portrait work and 5100 × 3300 px for landscape spreads, at 300 dpi. Include the story title and complete credits for the photographer, models and every creative-team member. Follow the exact file and upload instructions shown on the submission platform, because a specific open call may set a different image range or additional requirements.

Do I need copyright and model releases?

Yes. You must own the copyright or have written authority from every relevant rightsholder. You must keep a written model release for every identifiable person. If anyone depicted is under 18, you must also keep a separate written release signed by that person's parent or official legal guardian. Keep the signed originals and provide them promptly if Artells requests them. The submitter is responsible for the accuracy of credits and for third-party copyright, model, privacy and publicity-right claims caused by a breach of these warranties. Read the full Submission Terms.

Does submitting or paying guarantee publication?

No. A submission is reviewed by the editorial team, and acceptance remains an editorial decision. A review or priority fee does not by itself guarantee acceptance, a cover, a particular position or publication on an exact date. After acceptance, the deliverables expressly listed in the selected option are reserved according to that option. Artells does not guarantee sales, audience reach, press coverage, follower growth, awards, employment or any career or commercial result.

What is the difference between a standard submission and a paid option?

A standard submission is reviewed in the normal editorial queue. A priority option changes the review order or stated response target only if the platform listing expressly says so; it does not change the editorial standard. Publication, webitorial, social, cover and VIP options must be read exactly as listed at checkout. The listing should state the included deliverables, what remains an editorial choice, the expected issue or delivery period and whether a digital or print copy is included. Current Artells Magazine options are summarised on Submission Options; the platform listing shown at purchase controls if the two differ.

When does the publication service start and when is it completed?

The publication service starts when Artells accepts the application and sends an acceptance confirmation. The core publication service is completed when the relevant magazine issue is released and appears on the issue page of artellsmagazine.com. Any additional deliverables expressly included in the selected option remain due under that option.

When will my work be published?

The expected issue or publication window is shown in the relevant Kavyar or Artells Media listing and in the acceptance message. Dates are estimates unless the accepted option expressly makes a specific date part of the service. Editorial schedules can change, so use the platform conversation or support email for the status of an accepted submission. Recently released editions appear on New Issue.

Will I receive a print or digital copy?

Only if the selected option expressly includes that copy. Publication in print or digital format does not automatically include a complimentary physical copy. Check the deliverables on the Kavyar or Artells Media listing before ordering. Available released editions and third-party ordering links are listed on New Issue.

Can I cancel after my submission is accepted?

As an additional contractual right, you may request cancellation within five business days after the acceptance confirmation if the relevant issue has not already been released. Once the relevant issue has been released, change-of-mind cancellation is not accepted. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies for non-performance or non-conformity are not restricted. Kavyar requests should remain in Kavyar messaging. Artells Media requests and complaints may be sent to support@artellsmagazine.com. Read the complete Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Who processes a refund?

Refunds and cancellations are handled through the same platform where the application or order was placed: Kavyar or Artells Media. Any approved amount is returned through the original payment channel under the platform's process and mandatory law. Artells does not promise a fixed bank or payment-processor settlement time.

Who owns the copyright after publication?

The author keeps copyright. For accepted work, the author grants the Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual and royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, display, distribute, promote and archive the work in the magazine, on Artells websites, on Artells social channels, in promotion of the issue and in the editorial archive. The licence includes reasonable cropping, resizing, reformatting and technical or layout adaptation. Artells credits the author using the information supplied with the submission. Full details are in the Terms of Service.

Can published work be removed or credits corrected?

Artells may remove material from its digital channels at any time at its editorial discretion. A contributor may request correction of a verified digital credit error or ask for digital removal at team@artellsgroup.com. Requests are assessed under applicable law and the archival nature of a magazine. Printed or already distributed copies cannot be recalled, and removal does not automatically create a refund right.

How does Artells protect people under 18?

Submissions and purchases must be made by an adult. A separate, verifiable written parent or official-guardian release is required for every identifiable person under 18. Artells prohibits sexualised, nude, partially nude, sexually suggestive, sexually provocative or sexually explicit material involving minors. Content may be immediately rejected, blocked or removed if evidence is missing or a safety concern arises. Where exploitation is reasonably suspected, Artells may preserve the minimum necessary records and report the matter to the relevant platform or competent authorities where required or permitted by law.

How can I correct or delete my personal data?

Email team@artellsgroup.com and identify the submission or publication concerned. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent where applicable. Some records may need to be kept for legal obligations, the defence of claims, freedom of expression or the integrity of a lawful print and editorial archive. Read the Privacy Policy for recipients, international transfers and retention periods.

Where should I ask a question or send a complaint?

For an accepted submission, keep Kavyar-related messages inside Kavyar so the platform record remains complete. For general support, an Artells Media submission or a formal complaint about the Publisher's service, email support@artellsmagazine.com and include your name, email, platform, submission or order reference and a concise description of the issue. Privacy and data-rights requests go to team@artellsgroup.com.
